Welcome to my Portrait portfolio. This has been curated using some of my favourite shots that I've had permission to post.

Portrait photography is actually one of the hardest things I've done. It requires a lot of knowledge surrounding the camera, lens, lighting and composition. A professional in this field knows exactly how to position someone to get the photo they want and exactly which settings to use.

I'm still learning and this is probably the area with the biggest gaps, hence the lack of photos below. Weirdly it's mainly because I struggle to find people to photograph! Obviously I'm the family photographer for get togethers but when it comes to doing a shoot with an individual, it's a different story. Even in the street, it takes guts to ask someone if you can take a photo, and even more for the person to actually say yes.
